The blond-haired Sabo is the Revolutionary Army's chief of staff, recognized as the number two of the entire organization and outranked only by Supreme Commander Monkey D. Dragon. He is also the sworn brother of the notorious pirates Monkey D. Luffy and Portgas D. Ace.

Sabo is generally considered the diplomatic one of the three borthers. He encouraged Luffy's abilities, and helped Ace and Luffy get along when they were fighting. And despite being the son of a noble, Sabo does not act like a stereotypical noble would act, nor does he consider himself to be a noble.
