Oscar (Knight of Astoria) appears in the Undead Asylum, where he rescues the player character from imprisonment by dropping a corpse with the Dungeon Cell Key into the cell. He is later found dying, and asks the player to listen to his tale before he expires. At the conclusion of his tale, he will give the player an Estus Flask and states that he can die with hope in his heart. If the player talks to him again after this, Oscar will request for them to leave him to die alone, afraid that he might hurt the player character after turning hollow after death.
