Black Knights were once the proud Silver Knights of Gwyn, but now they roam around Lordan wielding powerful weapons. It is said that these knights were burnt black in their fight with Chaos Demons, and this caused them to have high Fire resistance. Few even traveled with Gwyn to the Kiln of the First Flame, who were then burnt to ashes when he linked the First Flame, leaving behind just their spirits that roam the spectral staircase in between the Kiln and the Lordvessel.
