Ban is the Fox's Sin of Greed, as well as a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. He is extremely friendly and competitive towards Meliodas, and they enjoy challenging each other. Despite being very close companions, they are willing to fight each other at full strength, disregarding what potential damage they may deal against each other. Their first encounter was a while after Ban's thirty-third execution, which he once again successfully overcomes. As a subordinate, Ban shows a fair deal of respect for Meliodas and addresses him as "Cap'n". Ban sees Meliodas as his best friend and as one of the only two people to accept him, the other being Elaine.
